Gerard Butler Leaves 'Escape From NY'

by Paul William Tenny

snake.jpgMore light posting since I have catching up to do - it looks like the remake of John Carptener's Escape From New York was going to stink so bad that both the director and character lead have abandoned the project. Gerard Butler after finding fame and fortune with Frank Miller in 300 was going to take on the role forged by Kurt Russel, but has bailed over the dreaded creative differences - meaning it was going to suck, so rather than stick around and make it better with his glorious talent, he's just running away.

Now we're stuck with this guy instead. Ugh.
